Vision is a way for our brain to "touch" the world. The quality of vision is a manifestation of whether the visual function is perfect or not. In life, the completion of many tasks rely on vision to play an important role, such as learning, work, sports, cognition, communication and so on. All activities that we can see and recognize through the eyes need to be realized by normal and even more perfect vision, and serve our needs efficiently.
In clinical work, part of the visual problems come from the visual dysfunction of patients with strabismus and amblyopia, and some visual problems that are not obvious in appearance but seriously affect life and learning.
Visual assessment is to accurately diagnose the eyeball and visual development level, visual information processing ability, refractive status, and ocular organic diseases through optometry medical methods, and find the true cause of the patient’s visual impairment through visual image problems. In this sense, visual assessment is a necessary way to judge a person’s visual health and the main basis for diagnosis and treatment.
