Anti blue light glasses are glasses that can prevent blue light from irritating eyes. Special anti blue light glasses can effectively isolate ultraviolet rays and filter out blue light. They are suitable for watching mobile phones, TV and computers.
Anti blue light glasses mainly reflect harmful blue light through coating on the lens surface, or add anti blue light factor to the lens base material to absorb harmful blue light, so as to block harmful blue light and protect eyes.
Can anti blue light glasses prevent myopia?
Blue light proof glasses cannot prevent myopia. Blue light only has the possibility of causing retinal damage, and this possibility is related to the blue light dose of the retinal receptive zone. In other words, blue light irradiation may cause retinal damage only after reaching a sufficient time and a certain intensity.
When the wavelength band of blue light is below 445 nm, the light intensity exceeds a certain range and the time irradiation is easy to cause retinal photochemical damage, especially the short wave blue light near 435-440 nm.
At present, the medical community believes that the main factor affecting macular lesions is age, not blue light.
