The Different Categories Of Lenses

1. Resin lenses

Lenses made of resin are light in weight and more comfortable to wear. Disadvantages of resin lenses:

2. Glass lenses

Advantages of glass lenses:

Glass lens is the lens made of optical glass, its clarity is slightly higher than that of resin lens, and it has a higher refractive index, the highest refractive index commonly used for lens is 1.9. And the glass lens surface hardness is high, than other materials of the lens more resistant to scratch, wear.

Disadvantages of glass lenses:

Due to the large weight of glass lenses due to material reasons, the wearing comfort of glass lenses is affected to a certain extent. In addition, glass lenses are fragile. Especially with the improvement of production technology and technology of resin lenses, glass lenses are used less and less in recent years.

3. PC lens

Disadvantages of PC lens:

4. Nylon lenses

Nylon lenses are mainly made of TROGAMIDCX, a special transparent polyamide (commonly known as memory nylon) used in sports brands and high-quality sunglasses. Nylon lenses have high elasticity and excellent optical quality, strong impact resistance, very light weight, only about a tenth of the weight of the same volume of glass, only half the weight of traditional resin lenses.

5.AC lens

PC lens and AC lens are both resin lenses, but their technology is different, the difference is that the former is harder, the latter is softer. AC lens is also called acrylic lens, with excellent strength and toughness characteristics, light weight, high perspective rate, good anti-fog.

Disadvantages of AC lens:

6. Polarized lenses

Polarized lenses are composed of multi-layer resin lenses, which can filter the interference of irregular light and avoid the occurrence of blinding and dazzling phenomena. The world's best driving lens, commonly used in sunglasses, is a must for car owners and fishing enthusiasts.

Disadvantages of polarized lenses:

If the arc bend of the lens itself is not in the optical standard refractive state, the polarization effect is weakened, the image authenticity is affected, and the durability is poor.
