Not Wearing Sunglasses? The Damage to the Baby's Retina is Huge!
Can children wear sunglasses
How old can a child wear sunglasses
Can children wear adult sunglasses
How long is it safe for children to wear sunglasses
1.What's different?
The transparency of a baby's cornea and lens is higher than that of an adult (so-called clear eyes), which means that ultraviolet rays penetrate more and cause greater damage to the retina.
We should try to avoid direct sunlight, especially for babies under 6 months old. Therefore, when going out in hot weather, we must wear a wide brimmed hat, sunglasses, and apply sunscreen.
Before choosing sunglasses, we also need to understand several precautions for purchasing children's sunglasses:
1.)Choose truly professional and qualified sunglasses (so it's more reliable to go crazy on overseas shopping)
2.)Choose sunglasses that can block both 99% to 100% UVA and UVB ultraviolet rays
3.)Choose sunglasses with curved surfaces on both sides to prevent ultraviolet rays from entering the eyes from the side
Generally, gray lenses are chosen because they can reduce the intensity of light without causing color difference in the subject matter;
Babies with impaired vision can choose brown or amber sunglasses because they can improve the contrast of objects while reducing light intensity.
2.Can block 75% to 90% of visible light
When choosing sunglasses, you can refer to the above 5 points. Additionally, we need to know that UV protection is not a highly sophisticated technology. So, various types of sunglasses products specifically aimed at children are generally routine~
