How to Distinguish Between Regular Sunglasses and Polarized Sunglasses?
1. The simplest way to find a LCD display screen is to find a mobile phone and place the glasses horizontally facing the screen. When the glasses rotate in front of the screen, the screen becomes flickering light and dark. This is called a polarizing lens. If there is no change in rotation, it is not a polarizing lens.
2. This is the simplest method: stack two polarizing lenses vertically, and the lenses facing the sunlight will appear opaque. If transparent, at least one pair is not a polarizing lens. The reason is that the polarizer lens is specially designed to only allow parallel light to pass through the lens, and when the two lenses are vertically stacked, most of the light is blocked. So when making a purchase, with such a simple operation, one can immediately know the authenticity and quality of the product.
3. Glasses stores usually have a special identification board for identifying polarizers. Wearing polarizers can reveal patterns that you haven't seen with the naked eye! Wearing regular sunglasses also makes it difficult to see that pattern. For example, in the identification board below, when you wear polarized sunglasses, you can clearly see a large fish, which cannot be seen without or without regular sunglasses.
4. UV400 means 100% UV blocking.
The following method can easily measure the anti ultraviolet effect of lenses. Not all sunglasses on the market may have the effect of isolating ultraviolet rays. To know if the lenses can isolate ultraviolet rays:
Find a UV banknote inspection lamp or a banknote inspection pen, with a 100 yuan bill. Directly irradiating the RMB can reveal the 100 yuan ultraviolet anti-counterfeiting effect. If separated by lenses with UV400 function, anti-counterfeiting cannot be seen.
