What Is The Difference Between The World Seen By Animal Eyes And Humans ?

As we know, there are about 107 million light-sensitive cells inside each human eye. Human eyes can distinguish 500 different shades of gray. Have you ever wondered what the world looks like in the eyes of animals? What did the fish see when they looked at us? Today let’s take a look at what the world looks like in the eyes of the following animals.

1. Dogs

Dogs cannot distinguish between red and orange, but they can clearly see blue and purple as well as ultraviolet light. In addition, dogs can distinguish 40 shades of gray, based on the intensity of each color and the actions of others.

2. Cats

Cats do not distinguish between red and green, and the world they see is made up of brown-yellow and blue. Cats have a wider field of vision than ours, so they can see more. Moreover, the ability of cats to adapt in the dark is six times higher than ours. This is mainly because structure of their eyes is reflective and presents a so-called rod (responsible for receiving light in the dark).

3. Mice

The eyesight of mice is very blurred, they can’t see red. They will also see the world doing slow motion. Each of their eyes can move independently, so there can be two worlds in their eyes.

4. Bees

Bees also have unusual vision and can see a wider range of colors, including the ultraviolet spectrum. This makes it easy for them to find pollen in flowers. But bees can’t distinguish red at all, the red in their eyes looks dark blue.

5. Sparrows

Due to the structure of the eyes, sparrows can’t distinguish between green and blue. They see the world with rose-colored. They don't like blue and are afraid of brightness.

6. Pigeons

Pigeons have a unique vision, they can see all the subtle details. We may only see one road, but pigeons can see all the smallest cement cracks. Their eyesight is like a magnifying glass.

7. Eagles

Due to the eye structure birds, eagles can focus their eyes on some areas. You may only see a field, but the falcon can focus on the little things that appear there.

8. Sharks

Deep-sea fish can easily see other objects in the dark, but sharks cannot distinguish colors at all. The world that sharks see is painted gray or light green.

9. Fish

Fish eyes have ultraviolet receptors, similar to the spherical lenses we see, but they see the world of red, green and blue

10. Horses

Horses have a blind spot. Horses can't see they are directly in front of them. This is determined by the position of their eyes. Horses can’t see as many colors as we do. Their world is mainly composed of gray, yellow and blue.

11. Cows

You may never heard that the cows can't see the clear colors like humans. The world they see is red and orange. They don’t like someone approaching them suddenly, because everything seems bigger than usual.

12. Snakes

Due to the infrared receptors on the nose, which sense heat signals, snakes can see the heat radiation of warm-blooded mammals, helping them seek prey in the dark, and also protect themselves from other carnivores.
