OPTICAL FRAMES
Optical frames: Use lenses, prisms, corneal contact lenses, intraocular lenses, etc. to correct vision, eliminate visual fatigue, and protect or treat eyes.
There are many types of glasses. There are optical glasses and contact glasses for correcting refractive errors. In addition to contact glasses, intraocular lenses can be implanted for correcting aphakia. In addition, there are various types of protective glasses, beauty mirrors and vision aids for correcting low vision, etc. All lenses are thin lenses, and their determination is the reciprocal of the focal length (m) of the lens.
Lens
Lenses are divided into spherical lenses and cylindrical lenses. The curved surface of the spherical lens is a part of the spherical surface, and is classified into a convex spherical lens or a concave spherical lens according to the aggregation or separation of parallel rays.
The convex spherical lens is used to correct hyperopia, presbyopia or aphakic eyes, and the concave spherical lens is used to correct myopia. The curved surface of the cylindrical lens is part of the column. The directional refractive power is the largest, and it is divided into convex cylindrical lenses or concave cylindrical lenses, which are respectively used to correct hyperopia or myopia astigmatism.
Prism
Two non-parallel and angled lenses are used to treat certain eye muscle diseases because of their characteristic of shifting the image to the tip.
Contact lenses
It is directly attached to the surface of the eyeball. According to the different materials used, it is divided into two types: hard and soft. The former is made of plexiglass and the latter is made of hydrophilic gel. It can not only correct refractive errors but also treat certain eye diseases. .
Intraocular lens
Immediately after extracapsular cataract surgery, the intraocular lens is implanted into the lens capsular bag.
