Do You Know How to Buy Children's Glasses?
(1) What kind of frame can be worn stably?
Whether the spectacle frame is stable or not is mainly considered from the following three aspects:
Nose support: the plastic support on the mirror frame in contact with the nose. When selecting, pay attention to whether the nose support can be stably supported on the bridge of the nose, and will not slip when lowering or shaking the head. For children with relatively low nose or long eyelashes, try to choose glasses with movable nose support, because they can be adjusted as needed.
Mirror ring: the size of the mirror ring mainly determines the size of the glasses. If the mirror ring exceeds the face, it will be too large, and the too large mirror ring is easy to wear. If the mirror ring is too small, it will lead to the external tension of the mirror legs on both sides, too tight and uncomfortable.
Temple: suitable for children's glasses design. The glasses legs should be attached to the skin on the side of the face, or leave a little room for space, so as to avoid that the glasses are too small after a child's rapid development. For the adjustable frame, we can adjust the bending point behind the mirror leg, which can make the wearing more stable; For the mirror frame that cannot be adjusted, the ear hook is equipped behind the mirror leg, but the premise is that the size of the mirror frame is relatively appropriate. For the mirror frame that is too large or too small, even if the ear hook is equipped, the effect is not ideal.
(2) What kind of frame will be more comfortable to wear?
There is no doubt that the lighter the frame, the more comfortable it must be to wear. For example, titanium frame and TR90 frame are relatively light frames at present.
In addition to the weight of the frame, the appropriate frame should also be selected according to the degree of the child. In consideration of the safety and firmness of the frame, it is recommended that children wear the full frame.
Low degree - there is no need to think too much about the size of the frame, as long as children wear it appropriately and comfortably.
Medium height - it is necessary to combine the frame size with the pupil distance. What is the frame size? It refers to the size of the frame marked on the mirror leg. The .expression method of the frame size is as follows: 4816. The sum of the two numbers before and after the box is 2 ~ 4 larger than the pupil distance, which can be considered as a more appropriate specification of the frame size.
(3) What kind of glasses look more beautiful?
We usually choose frames according to children's skin color, face shape, personality and other characteristics. However, it should be noted that special diopters, such as high hyperopia, high myopia and high astigmatism, will affect the overall appearance effect of glasses after processing.
For children with height, the first thing we recommend is resin sheet. Lenses with different refractive index are selected according to different degrees:
1.Low power (below 3.00d): 1.50 and 1.56 lenses can be selected;
2.Medium power (3.00-6.00d): 1.56 and 1.60 lenses can be selected;
3.Height number (above 6.00D): basically select lenses of 1.60 and above.
It should be noted that the lenses with high hyperopia (+ 6.00D or above) are generally recommended to be customized, because they can be made into special lens diameters, so that the lenses will be thinner and the overall effect will be better.
Finally, for the sake of children's eye health, we must reasonably select appropriate glasses and lenses for children, which can effectively reduce visual fatigue and avoid the rapid growth of eye power.
