Anti-Fog Lens and Cloth
If you wear glasses in daily life, you may find that lens is easy to fogging when we drink warm water or in winter. Main reason is the liquefaction caused by hotter gas meeting the colder lens.
Now we have anti-fog lens, there is a special hydrophilic nano coating, which makes water droplets spread evenly on the surface lens to form a transparent ultra-thin water coating. The subsequent water vapor will melt into this water coating. When there is no water vapor, the water coating will quickly evaporate. This water coating can overcome the messy refraction and reflection of the water droplets in the fog, and the lens will be transparent.
This kind of lens is mainly used in some special fields, such as swimming, skiing, industrial protective lenses, etc. It will only be used for a period of time, not all day long. At the same time, the hydrophilic coating of anti-fog lenses on the market is mainly made of organic materials. This will lead to a decrease in the scratch resistance and anti-friction of the outermost layer of the anti-fog lens according to the current mainstream technology, so that in our daily wear and cleaning, the service life of lens will also be reduced, which further limits the use of anti-fog lens.
If lens is dirty, you need to wipe it with a professional eyeglass cloth. Do not wipe it with paper or rough cloth to avoid damage to the coating. And it is strictly forbidden to use cleaning liquid with chemical composition. Such as: detergent, washing powder, soap, and alcohol.
Usually anti-fog lens is used with anti-fog lens cloth. When wiping the glasses, anti-fogging agent attached to cloth forms an anti-fog coating on the lens, reducing the surface tension of the water droplets and making all the water droplets on the lens flattened, forming an ultra-thin water coating.
The service life of the anti-fog lens cloth is generally more than 450 wipes, usually about 3 months. Basically, the three months that are prone to fogging in winter have passed. At the same time, it is not recommended to wash the anti-fog lens cloth.
